Who Knew...multiple-choice would be so much work?

Who Knew...multiple-choice would be so much work?

When Dennis and Gary first sat down to flesh out what would turn out to be the original version of Who Knew?, they knew one thing for certain; they wanted a game about conversation to spark conversation.  The inspiration behind this game was the way certain phrases and quotes made people think, and so it was important that the game itself live up to that inspiration.

Stolen Treasures, and the search for some authenticity...

Stolen Treasures, and the search for some authenticity...

Creating games is fun.  I’m not going to pretend it isn’t.  It’s not something I ever imagined I would be doing, but I found myself rather absorbed in the whole process once everything got going and I can say quite assuredly that it’s the most fun job I’ve ever had.  But with all the creative validation a job like this can give you, there is no escaping the stress that comes from trying to produce something with integrity.  As I mentioned before, gaming is such a broadly painted environment to the point where there are literally games about everything and, in essence, for everyone, and so when we started this company we knew that not every game we made would appeal to every audience, but you still want every game you produce to have a level of integrity that makes you proud of it.

The day is finally here!

The day is finally here!

After months of anticipation and some unexpected holdups along the way, doyouknowmygame.com is finally open for business!  Our two games, Who Knew? and Stolen Treasures have made their way to the warehouse and ready for purchase.  We are so excited to finally feel like a full-fledged company.  Please visit our game pages to take a look at all that these two games offer, and to learn more about the process behind the games, and stay tuned because I’ll be talking a bit about what it took to get these games from concept to completion later on in the week.

Do You Know This Game: Sheriff of Nottingham Review

Do You Know This Game: Sheriff of Nottingham Review

So last week we had some friends come in from out of town, and one thing we love to do with them is play games. Now, we have our usual stack of games to play through over the course of what feels like a 4-Day Weekend bender complete with late nights and tired mornings, but it’s always nice to grab something new off the shelf.

I’m assuming that you love to play games

Games.  I’m assuming since you’re here that you love to play games. Maybe you stumbled onto this site by pure accident, but more likely than not, you’re here because you love games. But really, who doesn’t love games? Maybe it’s the child in us all, but playing pretend is something that never really goes out of style.  It’s more than that, though.  It’s not all make believe and role playing. There are literally games for everything, for those who want to test their brains, their skill, their luck and yes, even the limits of their imagination. From trivia games to games of chance to RPGs and the most outlandish of party games, you’d be pressed to find someone who couldn’t find something they thoroughly enjoy.
